I've done some pretty cool stuff, but finally on Saturday I did the one thing I've always wanted to do since I was a kid...gather eggs from a chicken coop! Really exciting, right? Well, it is for a girl who always wanted to spend some time on a farm.
This past weekend we went up to Fir Point to see the in-laws. While we were there, I got to talking with Dennis and Janice, the caretakers, and asked them if I could get the eggs from the chickens! When they said yes, I was ecstatic! Now, while I'm sure that now I have friends who are shaking their heads and calling me a goober or dork or whatever, they thought it was hilarious and were more than happy to help out.
Surprisingly it was not nearly exciting as I thought it would be, and while I would love to make up this great tale of heroism and the need of me fighting back the chickens to get the much needed eggs for the sake of everyone's breakfast, I didn't. But...that did not stop me from taking some great little pics with my phone. (And I've begun working on the story that I plan on telling the junior highers at camp this year...I can't help it-they're very gullible!)
Well, one item can be checked off. And while I have no real list, I'd like to think of some more things I want to do. (Maybe they can be on my bucket list for before I turn 35.) I recommend that everyone make a bucket list. (Even if it's not for before you die) It's fun knowing the things you've done are different than the everyday, and it makes for some great memories. (Or random blogs!)

| Success! (Not my favorite picture of myself, but still pretty darn proud!) |
| Yup, all the hype for 2 eggs! But they were pretty tasty with the french toast! |
